Today the White House announced plans to seek a stay against a federal judge’s ruling enjoining in full President Obama’s immigration executive action. Texas leads a 26-state coalition fighting the President’s attempt to unilaterally grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. General Ken Paxton issued the following statement:

“A federal judge properly enjoined President Obama’s lawless executive amnesty. We are a nation of laws, and I will vigorously defend the United States Constitution, as Texas and our fellow states continue to fight back against the aggressive overreach of this lawless administration.”

Joining Texas in the lawsuit are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
