The Office of the Attorney General is continuing to work on the implementation of SB 1133, Landowner Compensation Program (LCP). We are pleased to announce the publication of the proposed administrative rule on Friday, February 16, 2024. The rule is now open for public comments for 30 days, until Sunday, March 17, 2024. The public comment period is your opportunity to provide feedback on the program rules before they go into effect. Follow the link below to review the proposed rule:

If you suffered real property damage on agricultural land due to a border crime and feel that you may qualify for this compensation program, the following are some of the documents that you will need to have: 

  1. Obtain a police report of the incident/crime; 
  2. Maintain any and all documentation of proof that property damage was sustained; and
  3. Maintain any and all proof of repairs (if made).
